Bio
Jumbo Jr. is the one-person band of Lauren Henschen. Instruments she commonly uses include acoustic and electric guitars, bass, keyboard/synth, slidewhistles, and that sort of thing. She began performing live in 2005 (rhyme time!) though her first solo performances on the guitar were a part of her stand-up comedy routines.

The sound she produces is something like indie pop rock, with a whimsical twist. But don't take MY word for it...
The following gems have been uttered in regards to Jumbo Jr. :

"I wish Lauren was my Father, so I could be blessed with her ingenious genes. Not only amazingly beautiful, she writes amazing songs! I also heard that she knows the secrets of the universe, and never tells them!"
-River Jones of the band, Modern Girlfriends

"I always enjoy the music of Jumbo Jr."
-James London, rockstar and fan

"I thought I had heard it all until I heard J.J. for the first time. I was a curious disaffected youth and Jumbo's song "Captain Captain" pierced my soul like the sunshine through my window when I'm hung over. Never before had I considered music to be part of my life, but now, it is all I can think about. I met Miss Junior once at a concert. She played a song for her "roommate" but it seemed as if it was for me. Not a day goes by when I don't whisper her name, and imagine what it would be like to know her personally. Very personally..."
-Daniel Pugh, fan

"I think Lauren is the best!"
-Chelsea Monty, fan

"An exquisite blend of good times and music! The song "and the rain rain rain came down down down" was unlike anything I had ever heard! A truly unique sound!!!"
-Cory Murphy, fan
