Brought to you by the Band-Aids Management Team
Bombs Over Kiwanis
By Lauren Henschen, Manager
With Noel back from his honeymoon and then
rest of the team in full force, The Band-Aids were ready to start
winning games once again. As I made my half hour drive to the field
from downtown Phoenix, I made a very special discovery. Something
I never knew existed seemed to appear out of nowhere. And maybe I
knew it had always existed, but I was blind to it for some reason.
I'm speaking, of course, of the radio station 93.3 KDKB. Always searching
for the appropriate driving rock ballads to start my Sunday evenings
off for success, I had typically settled on something like 100.7 on
the radio dial. But today it was blatantly obvious to me...93.3 SHOULD
BE and IS the official Band-Aids radio station. They play so many
songs that we play already. AC/DC, Gn'R, Aerosmith...and the hits
just keep coming. So Band-Aids, the next time you're looking for some
pumped up rock jams for your ride to the jam, hit up 93.3 and Alice
Cooper's show. It really does the trick.
I of course, was in managerial attire once again.
Honestly, having a permanent first base coach seems to be helping
our base running a lot as well. We end up taking full advantage of
every fielding situation. And our players are getting to second and
third base on their hits more than ever. I'm going to make a concerted
effort to coach 1st base as much as I can even once I return to uniform.
Play of the game goes to Noel for hitting out of the park again. God
it's beautiful.
